What foreign founders prepare
This is a document list for overseas applicants. The filing path, director and address choices are on the foreign incorporation page.
Individual shareholders or directors
Usually a passport and a proof of address from the last three months that shows the person’s name and address.
If the person will be a director, confirm whether a qualifying Singapore resident director already exists. A nominee is discussed only when there is no one. It is not added by default.
Corporate shareholders
An overseas company that holds shares usually also provides its registration papers, constitution and the identity of an authorised person. The exact list follows the checks at the time.
The company and the shares
Have a proposed name, the main activity, the share capital and each shareholder’s percentage. ACRA decides whether the name can be used.
These papers are for incorporation. They are not a work-pass application and they do not replace later secretary or tax records.
